El Centro recently received a $60,000 grant from the John W. & Effie E. Speas Memorial Trust, Bank of America, Trustee. This grant was awarded to support our “Serving with a Purpose” Campaign.
“SERVING WITH A PURPOSE” is our $750,000 three-year campaign designed to enhance El Centro’s financial strength and stability in order to ensure it is able to continue to meet its mission. El Centro has developed long-range and strategic plans for our organization in order to position ourselves as a resource – a bridge – to the Kansas City community to translate the unique characteristics of the Latino culture to create a higher level of engagement with this market.
“SERVING WITH A PURPOSE” enhances El Centro’s abilities to serve people in need in our community. From those who are under- and uninsured, to children ages 2 ½ to 5, to families struggling with poverty and/or domestic violence, to our Financial Literacy/Asset Building programs, El Centro is poised to further improve more lives of people in need.
