El Centro’s Promotoras are trained volunteers informing our clients about a variety of topics, including healthy eating habits. During the summer months, they provide tours of local farmer’s markets to show these healthy options and to increase access to fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables.
For the next six weeks, our Promotoras will be on hand at the Overland Park Farmer’s Market located at 7950 Marty Ave. Please consider stopping by to visit with them, learn more about their program and take home some locally grown fruits and vegetables of your own.
